The Guardians of Ga'Hoole is a book series by Kathryn Lasky. The first book: The Capture is about Soren, a young Barn Owl and how he meets his friends: Gylfie, An Elf Owl, Twilight, A Great Grey Owl and Digger a Burrowing Owl. The next few books, 2 ( The Journey)- 8 (The Outcast) cornicle their adventures as The Band with the Exception of books 7 (The Hatchling) and book 8. Books 9 (The first collier)- book 12 (The coming of king Hoole) are based in ancient times. The final books 13 ( The Golden Tree) - 15 (The battle of the ember) end the series with the killing of Nyra leader of the Pure One and Coryn, who was her son but he turned on her and the brutish ways of the Pure Ones. Soren takes over the kingship waiting for the new true king.
